Often in your young life, you have found yourself in new and perplexing situations, like non-violently extracting information, being on a team, or trusting anyone.
At these times, you have found it prudent to ask yourself, WHAT WOULD A BIOWARE PROTAGONIST DO?
Bioware protagonists fascinate you. They kill a lot of people for their strongly held beliefs and generally have a good time doing so, like Jack, and yet somehow are ultimately successful and have many rich and meaningful friendships, which is not like him at all. You’re pretty convinced you were supposed to be one, or at least, like, a sub-AAA or indie RPG derivative, but you guess the men upstairs checked the wrong box or something. You don’t even care that they’re all supposed to be women. Like, oh no, turns out your memory of gender is literally equally as fake as exactly every other fucking thing about you, noooo your paradigms are shattered how will you go on???
You should probably just get over yourself. No, really.
Based on your extensive study, if a Bioware protagonist doesn’t know what to do this early on, there’s probably a companion-to-be nearby that miraculously has the exact knowledge or skill needed to progress, just WAITING for you to call them to adventure. BUT WHO IN KIRKWALL, INTERESTING PERSON CAPITAL OF THEDAS, COULD THAT BE?
Yeah ok you’re just going to talk to Mari because she’ll probably just take your word for it and you’re not up to the hassle of convincing a third person on earth to generally believe in you right now.
